Welcome to Bob Doll’s weekly investment commentary.

Bob Doll is a Vice Chairman and Director of BlackRock. He is also the Global Chief Investment Officer for Equities, a member of the BlackRock Executive Committee and holds a seat on the BlackRock Board of Directors. Additionally, he is lead portfolio manager of BlackRock’s Large Cap Series Funds.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Bob Doll was President and Chief Investment Officer of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. BlackRock has $1.36 trillion in assets under management as of March 31, 2008.

The opinions expressed in this weekly investment commentary are the personal views of Bob Doll and encapsulate his outlook for the US economy and the key macro drivers.

What's Ahead in 2008--The Second Quarter Update: An Investment Perspective

Stocks sank sharply as the second quarter ended and have recently been buffeted by record oil prices, concerns about inflation and lingering economic and credit issues. Looking ahead, Bob Doll, BlackRock Vice Chairman and Global Chief Investment Officer of Equities, believes that a cautious investment approach remains in order, but does maintain that stocks should outperform bonds and cash over the coming year.
